Terms & conditions
Last updated:
These terms describe the use and limits of Free Mulch Calculator. By using the website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the website.
Purpose of the website
Free Mulch Calculator is a free tool for estimating loose mulch volume, whole-bag quantities and costs from information you enter. The guides and FAQs provide general planning information. We do not sell mulch, process payments, arrange delivery or provide professional landscaping services.
Estimates and your inputs
Results depend on accurate dimensions, units, target depth, existing mulch depth, bag capacity and prices. Bag counts are rounded up to whole bags. Bulk estimates use the order increment you enter. Review your inputs and check the calculation method before making a purchase.
Actual needs can vary because of uneven ground, settling, compaction, product fill and measurement differences. Estimates are not a supplier quote, a guarantee of coverage or a promise of savings. Confirm product volume, minimum order quantities and delivery arrangements with your supplier.
Prices and currency
Cost comparisons use your own prices; we do not show live store prices or inventory. Bulk delivery is included only when you enter a delivery fee. Tax, spreading labour and bag delivery charges are not included. Choosing a currency changes the formatting, not the value through an exchange-rate conversion.
Gardening and playground guidance
Recommended garden depths are general starting points. Choose material and depth suited to your plants, drainage and local conditions, and keep mulch away from stems and tree trunks. Volume estimates do not establish material weight or vehicle loading capacity.
For playgrounds, the calculator only estimates volume at the depth you enter. It does not certify fall protection or compliance with surfacing requirements. Use the manufacturer’s tested specifications and applicable playground guidance for the material, fall height, use zone, installation and maintenance.
Shared plans and privacy
Shared links contain the plan inputs, including any prices you entered. Anyone with a link can view those inputs. You are responsible for choosing recipients and avoiding sensitive information in shared plans. Our Privacy policy explains browser processing and other information handling.
Acceptable use and site content
You may use the calculator for personal or business planning and share or print your own results. Do not disrupt the website, attempt unauthorized access or use it unlawfully. Do not republish our original written content, branding or design as your own. Standard mathematical formulas and your own measurements remain available for your use.
External references and independence
Links to reference websites are provided for further reading. Their content and services are governed by their own terms. A reference link does not imply an endorsement of Free Mulch Calculator by that organization. The website is independent of retailers and suppliers.
Availability and responsibility
We aim to provide a useful tool, but do not promise uninterrupted access or error-free results. Features and content may change. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the website is provided as available without a guarantee that an estimate will suit a particular project. These terms do not exclude rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
